The 240 rooms are divided between 15 three-storey buildings. Built in the local style, on stilts, with access via a stairway, all the buildings are made of teak.

Amazing experience, excellent staff

Activities galore ! For kids and adults alike. I was moving non-stop and in absolute heaven. Big shout out to the circus team especially the incredible catcher Sopie and the chief Elaine as well as Cat, Zuii, and Bobby. They are gems. The whole staff was a pleasure, genuinely caring and not over the top in your face. Food was good and consistent, rooms small but clean. The resort isn’t as beach oriented as I expected which should change when they renovate. Well done!

Leaving Happy

I returned to this resort after coming with my children in January. My stay at Club Med Cherating was everything I needed. Yes the resort is old but it will be renovated soon. The rooms are comfortable (the only complaint I have is air-conditioning in G block wasn't very cold).

The food was OK, not great. I skipped breakfast most days as it wasn't to my liking.

A couple of thank-yous:
Jover- Thank-you again for your friendship and for making sure I never felt lonely. You are extremely talented and work so hard even at times with equipment that doesn't work properly! Club Med is very lucky to have you.

Job- You made sure everything was perfect. You always looked after me. I enjoyed our time together and hope we meet again.

Satish- You are always smiling. Thank-you for your kindness. It was great seeing you again.

Special mention also to Karen, Kabir and Rini. I enjoyed spending time with you all.

Also to all the bar staff thank-you for taking such good care of me at night and making sure I always had a drink.

As a Gold Member I certainly noticed a difference in the service from this visit to my last. Looking forward to returning after the renovations to see all the changes.

Its never goodbye, its always see you soon.

The nearest airport to Club Med Cherating is Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport (Kuantan)

By flight - Kuala Lumpur → Kuantan: 40 minutes minimum (direct flight)
Transfer to the resort is included in your package and takes approximately 45 minutes by van/bus.
