Michès Playa Esmeralda Dominican Republic

This was our third trip to Club Med Miches, and it did not disappoint. Beautiful resort, great activities, shows, parties, the food was excellent, but what separates Club Med from the rest is the gracious, talented and helpful G.O. team.

Jhonny in archery is amazing, this is our third year seeing him and my daughter loves him, and she has become a pretty good archer thanks to his help! He is a generous and kind person.

I spent most of my days on the tennis courts and the tennis team is great, Juan Carlos, Joel and Jonathan were great coaches and wonderful people. Jonathan is a kind and energetic young man, and was great to get to know him off the court as well.

Iara was my daughter’s favorite kids club counselor last year, and this year she was so helpful in reception, helping us with several room requests over the course of our stay, helpful and efficient! Anik was a big help as well!

Ygnacio in water sports was amazing during our attempt at kayaking and is generally a great guy!

In general, the whole sports team under sports manager Max, is great, which is a testament to his management. We enjoyed getting to know Max as well, another great person.

We had a great time, were sad to leave, and already looking forward to our next trip out there!

Our family of four (kids 5 and 9) just returned from a wonderful week of fun and relaxation at Club Med Miches. The last two years we had visited Club Med Ixtapa and when that property was sold, we decided to book at Miches instead.

Pros:

• The beach was beautiful and great for playing in the sand/water with kids.
• Both our kids loved the miniclub staff and the friends they met while we were there. Carm-Suze, Capitaine Doudou, Lamonitte, Marie and Elsa from the 4-5 team as well as Princess Coco, Matthew, Wideline, Hoodtina and Guy-Harry from the 6-10 team were all fun, friendly and full of energy, but I must give a special shout-out to Quentin and Betchnia whom my girls absolutely adored.
• The rest of the resort staff were all kind, friendly and courteous, leaving us feeling well taken care of.
• Shirley and Luis helped arrange Hanukkah celebrations that allowed us to meet families from around the world and celebrate with them.
• The rooms were fantastic; our unit was clean and spacious with a separate bedroom and bathroom for the kids to use.

Cons:

• After a long flight, the 1.5 hr drive from the airport was a bit tiring for the kids. But the staff at the airport quickly got us into a van and we were taken quickly and safely to the resort. It was similarly well arranged on the way back.
• There are mosquitos in the evening and sand fleas at the beach. So, applying bug spray and being thoughtful about when we were out was absolutely necessary.

Overall the trip was great and we are strongly considering returning next winter.

This all-inclusive resort truly has something for everyone. If you’re looking to relax, the pools and spa are perfect for unwinding. If you prefer to stay active, there are tons of sports and activities to choose from throughout the day. The food has been consistently good with plenty of options, and the service really stands out. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Overall, it’s a great place whether you want a peaceful getaway or a more active vacation.

A special thank you to Naya for the fantastic Latin dance classes. To Edwar for his amazing talent, his incredible dancing energy and friendliness—a perfect fit for Club Med! Marie is out of this world! One of the best fitness instructors I’ve seen. She was wonderful in the fitness classes and also in entertainment. Candela brought such talent to the circus! She was spectacular, friendly and fun! Heloise, the choreographer, did a brilliant job with the performances! BRAVO!!
I am so grateful to Elisabeth, who went above and beyond to make sure I had dinner reservations for my birthday and even sent a cake to celebrate. The service from Luz at the restaurant and Confesor was also top-notch.
It meant the world to me that Edwar, Marie, and Candela even joined us to celebrate my birthday and made sure the entire evening was absolutely amazing!
Lastly, it was a pleasure to be there when Asir was named the new Chef de Village—he was absolutely amazing and is already making a great impact. Thank you all for a memorable birthday vacation!"
