This is a tucked away yet fully equipped ski resort. Plus , there is an indoor swimming facilities for those who needed a relax yet fun away from the snow. Love the location. Just 2 hours drive from the airport!

The room we choose is roomy with a great view. It’s clean, warm and well equipped with plenty of hanging and auto bidet.

What is most memorable is the activities available, plus the ever changing food varieties.

Not forgetting our Yoga and Pilate classes held almost every morning and afternoon. The instructor, Ms Jean, is such an expert in managing our expectations during class. We had a wonderful sessions with her.

Overall, a wonderful experience at this Clubmed Hokkaido Tomamu! Double thumbs up.

February 2026 ski trip for our family of four from US, with a 7-year old and a 5-year old. We had a great time at Club Med Tomamu. Everything was top-notch, particularly the staff, meals, and facilities. Club Med focuses on making things easy for its guests, which included streamlined check-in process, luggage porter service at check-in and check-out, dedicated ski locker operated with your room key, easy equipment rental and lesson sign-ups, and ski slope access right off the ski locker room.

The all-inclusive stay includes ski lessons for kids and adults - this was the major draw for us, and Club Med did not disappoint. Drop off was as early as 8:30 and pickup as late as 4:45, giving parents a rare opportunity to ski together! Even though we are experienced snowboarders, we took advantage of the adult lessons and joined the SB4 group a couple of days, and we are really glad we did! Our ski instructor Ricky showed us around the mountain, gave us ideas of where to go based on our riding preferences, and gave us tips on where the snow accumulates when the wind blows. He also provided some insight to improve our snowboarding skills which we really appreciated as well!

Tomamu is one of three Club Meds on Hokkaido, and is by far the biggest. This means there are a lot of activities and opportunities, and mealtime had an absolutely amazing array of cuisines and choices. Everything we ate was delicious. The huge focus on kids ski club classes and the entertaining programming of the aftercare was apparent and a lot of fun for the kids. All of the kids ski instructors and kids club hosts that we met were dedicated, patient, and engaging. The Tomamu Resort's Mina Mina Beach and its attached onsens is located across the street and free to use for Club Med guests. The "beach," with its every-half-hour wave pool, was loads of fun for our kids. The onsen is a great facility with a beautiful, serene, winter woods view from the outside hot pool.

We thought the only real downside is that the large size of Club Med means mealtimes were pretty crowded and chaotic. They have a couple of "nooks" they reserve for families that have sensory needs, but that can only go so far. The staff do an amazing job of getting everyone seated and the place cleaned up.

But the size of the facility did not translate to crowded slopes. The ski resort is large enough to absorb the crowds from Club Med and the other lodging in the area with near-empty ski runs (blues and blacks anyway) and non-existent lift lines. We loved the terrain at Tomamu and did not get bored with the mountain after four days.

This was the most expensive hotel we've ever stayed at, but we thought Club Med returned the value and then some, thanks to the absolutely first class kids club/ski lessons, included lift tickets, large and comfortable rooms, and amazing meals.

I was initially worried if my shy children would be able to adapt to the Kids Club. As it turned out, those worries were completely unnecessary! My kids loved it so much that they "clocked in" to the Kids Club every single morning and afternoon for the entire 8 days without missing a beat.

My eldest (12) joined the Adult Group Lesson (Club 5) and improved so much under Jo G.O. She was so grateful that she even prepared a small gift for Jo before we left. My second child started at Trident 2 and climbed all the way up to Trident Bronze, and seeing her confidently tackle the black slopes was incredible. Even our youngest (5) went from Dragon to Trident 1, looking so proud of that achievement!

While the ski-in/ski-out convenience and the slopes were fantastic, what truly filled the gaps and made the experience perfect were the friendly G.O.s who felt like old friends:

• DORI (Reception): The smiling face who gave us the warmest welcome and set the perfect tone for our stay.
• JENNA (Pro Shop): For her professional and meticulous care.
• JAKE & DAN: For making our dinners and after-ski times so much more vibrant and joyful.

Club Med Tomamu is a place where any small void is filled by the amazing energy of the G.O. team. Thank you for giving our family a winter memory that we will cherish forever. We can’t wait to come back!
