Punta Cana Dominican Republic

I recently stayed at Club Med Punta Cana and had such a wonderful time! The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and fun atmosphere throughout my visit.

I especially want to give a big shout-out to Jorge Cruz from Golf, he was absolutely fantastic! Jorge is an excellent and patient teacher who made my golf sessions both enjoyable and informative. His kindness, knowledge, and professionalism really stood out and made a big difference in my experience.

Thank you to Jorge and everyone at Club Med Punta Cana for making my visit so special. I can’t wait to come back!

This was probably my 40th trip to club med and as usual, I had a great time. Weather was perfect. Food and alcohol were excellent. The algae kept us from using the ocean and beach (smell was pretty bad), but it did not affect our good time. Apparently the main restaurant burned down and construction was not yet complete, so the construction noise and lack of a 3rd restaurant were unfortunate, but again - still had a great time. We come to club med for the sports - volleyball, tennis and pickleball. Volleyball was great. There are 2 courts. I’m still not sure why the GO insists on having 6 players on a side - the court is small - probably the size of a 2s court. Once the GO left, we played with 4 teams of 4 on 2 courts so all good. Tennis clinics were ok. One day they split us into 2 courts of 6 and we played games - super fun. Another day we had 12 players on one court and stood in line hitting a feed ball. It was awful. Pro was very grumpy also and yelling at players for not following directions.
A pickleball pro arrived the last day - prior to then there was not any organized pickle ball open plays or clinics. I was surprised by this because I have been to Turks and Miches in the past year and both had organized pickle ball open play and tournaments. The courts are nice and we had many players in our group, so we were still able to play, but it would have been nice to meet other players.
Going back again in December so hoping algae and construction are finished!

My friend and I went for a girls only trip for her birthday on 9/20-9/24/25.
We didn't realize that the main area of the resort was still under construction. The website photos made it seem like it was complete.
We still enjoyed ourselves but would have liked to not have seen and heard all the construction - we'd love to come back when it's done.
We stayed in the newly renovated rooms in Pizarro building. We each had a large family suite to ourselves since the pricing was the same for separate suites vs shared suite. We requested rooms next to each other and the resort was able to accomodate.
We enjoyed all the activities: sailing lessons, trapeze, archery, Zen pool (main pool was too close to construction noise), water slides, beach, good food (highly recommend indigo lunch time fish tacos and indigo evening Picanha steak) and all the drinks (the bar at Indigo makes the best drinks, chat up the bar tenders and they will remember you).
