Punta Cana Dominican Republic

This was the first time we traveled out of the country with two kids under 5. I will say this resort made it SUPER easy.

We stayed in the exclusive area with a private pool & lunch at the pool (highly recommend).

Jeison, Tito, Maria, and JB were FABULOUS. They made sure we were well taken care of and served at the pool!

The Kids Club was great, our oldest (4.5) did great in the 4/5 class - Davidson & Coconut were her “favorite” counselors but they were all so amazing!

The Mini Club for 2/3 class was such a relief to have! Although this was an extra cost - I would pay it all over again. On the last day our 2.5 year begged to go! The women with the littles were so compassionate and sent pictures/communications every day through WhatsApp, Monie was AMAZING and took our little who has trouble with separation like she was her own and truly loved her while we took a break.

The Kids Club put on a performance with all the kids on Fridays, and I am not kidding when I say, every dad had tears running down their faces they were so proud!

We only sent our kids for 2-3 hours in the afternoons until Friday they asked to go all day.

The two bedroom in the exclusive area was perfect for families! We had trouble with the AC in the kids room, but they were responsive and brought an oscillating fan which truly helped.

Our kids did end up getting travelers gastroenteritis the morning we left which made for an awful plane ride/ travel home. Just make sure to get fresh food from the buffet!

Zen Med Spa : we had one of the most relaxing massages - there was no hot tub but places in the shade to relax.

The Managing Staff at the Exclusive Area were all so attentive.

We did go during “slow season” so it was not super packed. Not sure I would want to go during busy season as we did like how relaxing it was.

The night entertainment was great too as they had a kids show around 8 and the adults later after bedtime so you could get best of both!

Food: fresh lunch at the pool was AMAZING - buffet was great for the kids - and the steak dinner at Indigo was worth the wait it does take.

We just returned from the most incredible family vacation at Club Med Punta Cana. Traveling with two little ones can be a challenge, but the GOs at Club Med made everything so smooth, relaxing, and FUN for all of us.

From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to create magical memories for our whole family. We want to give special shoutouts to some of the amazing GOs who truly made our stay unforgettable:
Roberto gave us sailing lesson—we felt completely safe and had a blast on the water!
Nicholas, the sound guy, was always so friendly and helpful, making sure everything ran smoothly during shows and events.
Julisa made the BEST mojito and Omega was another standout bartender—he made every interaction feel special and always remembered our favorites!
Raj, the pickleball instructor, was so knowledgeable and encouraging—it was a joy to learn a some new tricks with him.
Ila and the entire Baby Club team took such gentle and loving care of our daughter. It gave us peace of mind and allowed us to relax knowing she was in such great hands.
Maritza, one of our servers at the restaurant, was incredibly kind and attentive—she always greeted our family with warmth and made sure we had everything we needed. YoMaira greeted us every morning with warmth like we were family.
• Pepito, the acting Chief of Village and Entertainment Director, brought energy, charm, and charisma to every event. The nightly shows were a highlight thanks to his leadership and enthusiasm.

Our son absolutely loved the water park—it was one of the highlights of the trip for him! He also had fun at the Mini Club, though we did have one rough day when he got overheated during outdoor activities. Unfortunately, that led to a mild fever the next day, so a little more shade and hydration support for the little ones would be a helpful improvement.

The only other downside was the bed in our room—it was very firm, which might not be comfortable for everyone.

Still, these were small bumps in what was otherwise a truly amazing vacation. The food was delicious and varied, the beaches were great, and the activities for both kids and adults were top-notch. We loved the balance of family time and adult relaxation.

Thank you, Club Med Punta Cana, for making our family feel so welcome and cared for. It was a perfect blend of fun, rest, and adventure.

This was our best Club Med Punta Cana experience ever due to exceptional personalized care and VIP treatment! May this high quality customer service continue once the construction/renovations are complete and they are back to full capacity. The water park and beautiful beach bar deck are wonderful additions. We spent most of our time relaxing at mama-ocean beginning our day with a morning swim. The views are breathtaking, the food is abundantly delicious and there is always something fun and exciting to do. The entertainment was a highlight as well. I loved my accommodations. Club Med could improve the guest experience by routinely checking all rooms before guests arrive to make sure everything is in order and working properly.

A great big thank you to the following for making our trip extra special: Miguel (sports manager) for making us feel special and making sure we were completely happy, and whenever there was an issue he took care of it promptly. He’s so charismatic and good at what he does, I thought he was the Head of Village when we first met:) At Indigo, Elisa, Leidy, Angela, Solyani, Youness, Juan Pablo (manager) and the head chef extraordinaire Chef Antonio have become family and greeted us daily with so much love, hugs and kisses. The entire staff at Indigo is exceptional although we can't remember everyone's names. They set a high standard for service and made our every experience enjoyable and memorable always anticipating our needs and desires before asking. Chef Antonio surprised and delighted us with his culinary artistry and expertise and took great pleasure in making sure we were always happy and satisfied often accommodating our special requests. Our favorite meal was one of his masterpieces, which was a seafood platter that included glasses of champagne. I literally gave him a standing ovation! At Hispaniola, the service is also very high. Sherius (manager) is such a sweet soul and always checked in to make sure we were well taken care of and given the best of everything. Chef Jackson graciously accommodated our special requests of delicious fried fish and pesto pizza far exceeding our expectations time and time again. The reception team was a breath of fresh air... very easy and pleasant to work with. They responded promptly and handled our every request. There is so much to love and appreciate about the Club Med Spirit, which is why we keep coming back. We look forward to seeing you in September!!!

Every young family should take a trip where they have childcare. It’s the only way to truly relax.

We visited Club Med in May and had a blast. Club Med Punta Cana is Club Med’s largest resort in the Americas. It’s located a short drive from the Punta Cana airport. Staff members are primarily trilingual — speaking French, English, and Spanish. May is the off season, so the resort was only 25% full.

We chose Club Med for their Baby Club, which provides child care to kids as young as 4-months-old. Our 22-month-old daughter normally attends daycare, so the transition was seamless. We dropped her off after breakfast every day and picked her up around 4pm. Her teachers— Darniella, Christelle, Johanna, Kimberley, Yvose, and Elisa — took excellent care of her. She napped well, loved the excursions in the buggy around the resort, and overall had a great time.

While our daughter was at Baby Club, we took full advantage of the resort. Our favorite spot was the adults-only oasis pool. It is tucked back away from the ocean and has a great bar. There was ample seating and I enjoyed sitting by the pool reading my book, sipping on a cold drink.

Overall, Club Med was a great choice for a family with young kids. We aren’t normally resort people, but Club Med made it so easy to travel with a toddler. We look forward to our next Club Med vacation.
