The excursions programme is given as an indication.

Bintan elephant park (1 hour)

A fabulous interactive adventure, with 7 Sumatran elephants. Take a ride on these majestic creatures. You can also feed the animals, or just sit back and enjoy our elephant show!

Pasar Oleh Oleh (1/2 day)

Bintan has its own little market, Pasar Oleh Oleh, a cluster of Indonesian-style huts selling all manner of Indonesian delicacies: Keropok (prawn or shrimp crackers), dried seafood, scallops and shrimps. For those with a sweet tooth, Kueh Lapis is a delicious square sponge-type cake.

Tanjung Pinang (1 day)

Close to the Strait of Malacca, this is the main port town on Bintan Island, from which merchant and passenger ships link Indonesia.

Tanjung Uban (1/2 day)

This is the second largest town on Bintan Island, on the northwestern coast. Visit the charming sea front, called Pelantar, with its pontoons and little wooden huts.
